Seaview has many facilities including the renowned Seaview Hotel and Restaurant, The Sea View Yacht Club and the Isle of Wight Sports Club. Newport, the county town of the Island, is approximately 12 miles distance to the west and has a wide range of facilities and amenities. Ryde (the gateway to the Isle of Wight) is approximately 2 miles distance with mainland connections by Hovercraft (7 mins) to Southsea and a Fast Catamaran (15 mins) to Portsmouth with onward rail links to London (1 hour 33 mins.)

Seaview is famous for its safe bathing beaches and sheltered waters, ideal for dinghy and day boat sailing. The Sea view Yacht Club has an extensive social and sailing programme throughout the season.

The village is popular with second home owners many of whom have been visiting for several generations.
